We are proud to present a new refresher day for our community.

We hear this from HR departments all the time… do you?

  • Top management considers retention, employability, and burn-out prevention as priorities.

  • As HR, we put the focus on facilitating careers: we are advocating internal mobility and urging people to take charge of their own careers. Results are not what we would have hoped.

  • Part of the problem is our talent culture, the subject of careers is not discussed openly between employees and managers, managers do not necessarily support internal mobility, careers are mostly still associated with vertical mobility, etc.

  • We would like to raise the quality of the career discussions between employee and manager.

At Janssen Pharmaceutica, this was also the case. Together with the Talent Fit Center, we’ve created an approach that really has an impact on employees’ career initiatives: 57% of respondents agrees that they will definitely raise career questions in their next meeting with their manager.
